The fur comes off and sticks to the car seat, but with the cover nothing comes off and the cover even stays clean! It's just a different type of fabric from the car and it also keeps liquids at bay. I will give 5 stars because the product is of good quality and fits well in my harness, but I will leave an idea for the manufacturer regarding the zipper where the middle belt passes through. This zipper should close from top to bottom with the hook at the top to close the zipper behind the belt, because the way it is now, when using the belt, the zipper ends up being open!
